Early Works - Dreamers In Time Poem by David Harris

Early Works - Dreamers In Time

Rating: 5.0

Sleepy heads, pillow bound
dreamers in time
life in a fantasy world
without reason or rhyme.
People hustle by you
along life’s winding road
until you catch tomorrow
and again your stories told.

Dragons of many heads
white knight in shining armour
fair maiden of the picture show
on a cloud with silver lining.
Who’s to mark of days gone by
of young lives running freely?
Who’s to mark of days to come
and times that pass sadly?

The sandman of a million nights
of a million dreams
calls and calls again
for with eyes closing fast
we enter sleeping castles
as dreamers in time.
