Electric Chair - Poem by Emily Dark

Alone in my own confinment
Sentanced to an eternal slumber
awaiting the trumpet of victory
ive won the battle
the fight for freedom
yet another room i am confined to
a cap placed on my head
straps holding me to this chair
i smiled
the crowd gasps
a surge o flight
the feeling of pain
it makes me laugh
the crowd
i sit there laughing
i suddenly stop
sleeping forever
in my long anticipated slumber
thanks to the happy chair
