If you see all this chaos
and the helplessness,
from up-there...
and you still shine upon Us
your wintery, astral light,
Watching...
with that rotund,
indifferent, unearthly face of yours: —
Well...we are not impressed with your Beauty!
With your untouchable superiority:
Vanity upon the Sky, facing down on Us—
the insignificants, the terrestrial ants: —
But we have Hearts!
Hearts filled with woes,
wishing to alleviate these agonies!
And, You...You stare like a mocking clown,
surrounded by your stars, and your Divinity!
Unapproachable,
so far...far away from our grasp:
always present,
every night, watching down on Us,
and probably, —mocking at Us!
Well...tonight,
we do not have eyes
for the frosty beauty of your luminescence:
You, —Empress of the Night! —
Your impassiveness cannot possibly inspire us!
But,
if you feel, somehow,
and compassionate with our sufferance, —
Show us at least a sign—a sign
that you are not a stranger to these agonies.
What a sublime and truly fitting tribute to that celestial godlike omnipresence that we as mere mortal beings have so long held such a fascination with... and unearthly spiritual connection to... how divine your words...
The sufferings of we miserable earthlings have been brought out superbly in this poem.

Your impassiveness cannot possibly inspire us! But, if you feel, somehow, and compassionate with our sufferance, — Show us at least a sign—a sign that you are not a stranger to these agonies.....nice poetic expression. A brilliant poem is astutely delineated. Thanks for sharing.
