Eliza's acting dream she could see from childhood
A lifelong acting dream she was to always say
More than a dream: more than a simple it'll work out OK.

Raised as Mormons Eliza attended Beaver Country Day School
In Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts,
And graduated from Watertown High School
Eliza popular and in real life always following the rules
Unlike characters she plays where she breaks the rules
Eliza learning her school subjects, intelligence never pretend
And enjoying chatting about her acting dreams to good friends
Who all agreed dreams should never be lost: never see an end.

Her parents were divorced before she was born
Eliza a sibling of three brothers, who were always trouble
Her father school teacher and administrator Philip Richard George Dushku
Her mother Judy Dushku (née Rasmussen) a political science professor
An educated family that did excel and leave pride on the table
Acting a job Eliza willing and able
Her talent attracting the attention of popular film makers

Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Angel

Dushku planned to attend Suffolk University in Boston
Where her mother taught as a professor
But fate intervened and her agent asked her to submit a videotape audition
For a television show starring another of his clients Sarah Michelle Gellar
Playing Faith on Buffy The Vampire Slayer between 1998- 2002
Did result in fan mail from prison inmates in the USA
Much of it offensive but Eliza not defensive:
For her character had such funk and attitude she's unforgettable.

Dushku was still a minor, and had to receive emancipation to work
Recalling with amusement the judge saying
Jokingly that she would sign the emancipation order
If she could get a signed photo from Eliza Dushku
Due to Eliza having been a minor at the time
Eliza ironically playing a character that did crime
Yet Eliza a high achiever and a motivated actress
Also famously appearing in the vampire spinoff series Angel.

Tru Calling & Dollhouse

In 2003 Eliza starred in a new Fox supernatural drama Tru Calling
A television series for which Eliza did have a calling
Playing Tru Davies: a medical student who works in a morgue
After having a grant withdrawn from the hospital
Tru saving lives and changing fate: all because she re-lives days
Where she proves she is not insane: it is real
Because of all the innocent lives - and not so innocent - lives she saves
Where Tru Davies is incredibly clever and brave.

Airing a television called Dollhouse on Fox
2008 - 2009 TV season, a show with a reason
For Eliza did involve and have the show designed by Joss Whedon
Of the 90's TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Dushku signing a development deal with Fox Broadcasting Company
Tailor made projects for the popular actress
