Energy Boost Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Energy Boost

It's not the same when you get old,
You search for that spring in your step,
Where did it go?
I need it back!
I haven't found it yet.
It's gone with the years,
That have faded with time,
My bones are beginning to creak!
I'm longing to dance,
like i so used to do,
But i'm tired,
I just want to sleep!
Age comes with the package of life I'm afraid,
I'm just about over the hill,
That's enough of the moans,
It's that time of day,
For my cocktail of energy pills!
