Amber beads, honey and olive trees
Never had I seen eyes like these
Setting fire to my heart's dark coal
Waking up my flesh and my soul
Tangled in your web with what I feel
Is it your glance or a blade of steel
Yet what I wish and I alas desire
Are neither your arms nor your kiss of fire
But your soul and your restless mind,
Your heart, your eyes and all that lies behind
What I know not at last to understand
As I bestow my heart upon your hand
Even if my trust long ago I've lost
I believe in you again, willing to pay the cost
No matter the rains, the winds and your storms
For he who craves the rose shouldn't dread the thorns
Crush me, hurt me, alas do what you will
Never doubt all that I am and I feel
But remember that all the love that drives me
Can turn to ice for he who denies me
