Ernest Hemingway
Poem By Freeyad Ibrahim

'No creature is stronger than me'
And He wrote in his novel
The Old Man And the Sea
'Man can be destroyed but never defeated'
For this will power and steadfastness
For the dogma of his 'undefeatedness '
He was chosen to get the Noble Prize
by the Academy Committee
And he was really awarded.
But After he had committed suïcide,
he proved to be contradictory
And cowardly.
And so he was transfigured
from 'verb to do' into 'verb to be'
He was both destroyed and defeated
This Noble Prize must be deleated!

Hemmingway was great at creating natural, believable dialog. I was terribly shocked and disappointed when he committed suicide.
