A subtle glance in a secret smile
And few whispered words of heart,
Immortalised in frozen time;
Still, ages are since we two parted...
Your memory I treasure dearly
In a secret corner of my mind;
Yet, I may not hold it very clearly,
For too many times you were unkind.
Our love...you brought to damage,
As if it was a shameful disease,
And you decided to break its image;
Persevere in the fun of tease.
To understand your thirst of proof,
It is beyond of comprehension:
If there is so much love under your roof,
Why the need in seeking my attention?
There is no need to stir rivalry,
For my love is pure, in state of calm;
I do not dream to make reality,
I do not wish to cause you harm.
I need the dream to stay alive,
Preserved in everlasting memory,
For you were my life...
My only love...for eternity...
People being unkind to us sometimes taints the memories of our dreams that we would prefer to keep alive. It's like they can't trust their own feelings and look to distance themselves from us. Yet, we continue to remember them with eternal love in our dreams. Great poem! RoseAnn

These concluding quatrain proclaims the intensity of your love and your desire to live in the memory of that love as long as there is breath in you! Perhaps heaven is one where you will be united with your loved one all through eternity! Love never days! Great write!
