Everyone Else - Poem by Takaeo Hester

Can you hear that?
Its the sound of your heart pounding
Your face dialates, sweat falls to the floor
The promises ahead, so far but so close
So successful, yet so daring

Admirers watch your every move
Any false step could be your last
The attention excites you but failure despites you
Will you succeed, or become just another
Flower to bud, but never bloom

And be seen as everyone else
