Fair Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fair

Fair?
What is it.
Is it the fair that once was there.
Rumored to apply and recognized,
When justice was implemented.
Given to some yet others denied.
What is fair to compare it?
Is it revealed when equality,
Becomes the topic to over emphasize.
Only known by those disenfranchised,
This myth to live it...
For them is just a production of lies.

Was 'fair' ever there?
To compare it and to what.
With it shown to realize.
And known to be constructive.
The rule and objective.

And yet...
That rule and objective,
May go unrecognized to apply.
For those who are the 'fairest' of them all.
Appearing less colorized.
To notice this to identify,
Immediately!
