A feeling of satisfaction,
After having a meal to eat.
A feeling of relaxation,
When you put up your feet.
A feeling of thankfulness,
For the words of poet friends.
A feeling of elation,
Reading fine poems from their pens.
A feeling of rejuvenation,
After a long hot bath.
A feeling of appreciation,
When making friends laugh.
A feeling of pride,
For a hard task completed.
A feeling of elation,
After a bully is defeated.
A feeling of relief,
When a petrol stations sighted.
A feeling of wonder,
When a child is reunited.
A feeling of hope,
When you give to the poor.
A feeling of gratitude,
When saved by your saviour.
A feeling of devastation,
After a loved one has sadly passed.
A feeling of annoyance,
When rainy weather wasn't forecast.
A feeling of irritation,
When the words won't come to you.
A feeling of destitution,
As you struggle to make do.
A feeling of helplessness,
Through life's toils we all plod.
A final feeling of one,
When we're all at peace with God.
Nice sentiments expressed here Shaun. I really like your use of anaphora at the beginning of each stanza....works a treat! It's often the simple things in life that make it work living. It's taken me many years to work that out. It's definitely a filled with positive feelings inspired five from me!
A beautifully penned poem. Truly exceptional....5 stars +++
