Fish And A Free Bird Poem by Rini Shibu

Fish And A Free Bird

Rating: 5.0

Jane, a fish from a garden pond
loves birds flying in the sky
She swims at the surface of water
looking at the bird with bright blue eyes
Thought she would learn to fly
to seek treasures  in the sky
One day a kingfisher came over
picked her out from the water
She flew with the bird across the lake
But the cruel bird devoured Jane.

Dear poet, This beautiful little poem contains a story. That story tells me a resemblance story as shadow of it. A girl wants to live with full of freedom. but the life after the marriage it goes totally against to her wishes.

Hi Rini, A simple poem, which can be relished even by children, With a moral. One should dream and try to fulfill the dream, achieve it. But not riding on others' shoulders. It could prove to be a trap...So, Fulfill it on your own; your own efforts.
