Five Limericks About Kim Barney
1
Firecracker
While celebrating down in Brazil,
Kim got more than the usual thrill.
Too long his hold did linger.
The result: one short finger.
Thinking of that now gives Kim a CHILL!
2
LDS **.....[ Not LSD ]
Kim adheres to the LDS teachings,
an offshoot of Jesus Christ's preaching.
To save souls they aspire,
and they have a HUGE choir.
(They are known for door-to-door 'outreaching'.)

Examples of Passion .....[ Poem Inspired by Kim Barney ]
What bibliophiles have for books.
What criminologists have for 'crooks'.
I know two passions of Kim;
poems and chess are for him.
Not all passion involves sex, love, & 'looks'!

Kim Barney's Poetic Offerings
I doubt Kim's ever writ' one 'bout beasts.
Some are near as good as mine, at least.
Some are riddles or contest.
I like his funny ones best.
I'm glad Kim is not [yet] deceased!

Distant PoemHunter Friends: Kim Barney and 'Hank'**
Two poet-friends live, from me, too far.
From each other they're a short trip by car.
They'll not lure me out West,
though Kim has made the request.
I'll stay home and eat ice cream..., and jam from a jar.

:))))
Fram, you told me my meter used in these poems disqualifies them from being called 'limericks'. Well, let's just say I'm using MY 'Poetic License'. Now stop being 'a pest'! ;) bri I don't get paid for my poems, but thanks for your comment. : ) bri
To Fram Boise, noun. an·a·pest ˈa-nə-ˌpest.: a metrical foot consisting of two short syllables followed by one long syllable or of two unstressed syllables followed by one stressed syllable (such as unaware) anapestic.' (cont.)
Five wonderful and well crafted limericks for a great Poet, Kim.Barney. Reading these poems, we were able to know Kim's passion, hobbies and religion
(cont.) As for animals I've written about: spiders, insects, amphibians (see Salamander) , birds, deer (see Bye Bye Jimmy) , and cats and dogs, and my wives (also 'beasts') . Hic finis est. bri : )
fact check: Kim has messaged me saying that he HAS written poems 'bout 'beasts', which he seems to equate with animals (which I DON'T) . 'Beasts', to me, are Godzilla, Tyrannosaurus Rex. King Kong, (and one about KK's mate) , and Bri Edwards. (cont.)
(2) My first comment was too long and was lost. Bri, I am honored that you have written these five poems about me. However, I HAVE written several poems about beasts (animals) .
(4) My haiku about whales took first place in the Texas contest a few years ago, and a poem about a cat took first place in the Utah contest this year.
(3) I have written about different kinds of birds, deer, horses, cows, sheep, pigs, rabbits, squirrels, groundhogs, foxes, and others.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.

WOW so full of humor and wit! I am sure Kim will have a good hearty laugh.
