Flirting, Overboard Poem by D.N. Rebb

Flirting, Overboard

Rating: 5.0

When you're from a place that's off the beaten path
You learn to play all sorts of different games
Especially in the wintery months' wrath
Where nippy is a completely different name

Only obstacle, how far you want to play
Self-discovery requires some tending
Perception is an angst left on display
Everyone at times shares frustrated yearnings

The weekend blues with truly nothing to do
Just shuffling the deck of solitude cards
Unless I can convey a greeting to you
Falling for my misdirected fresh charms

You know I am easy and could compromise
With comfy solutions to insomnia
Can sense your dimming, I need a bit more spice
Come and watch the sunsetting panorama

When you live in the middle of nowhere, flirt
Or you can blame it on something in the air
You can still leave empty-handed and unhurt
This personal offer will always be there
