Flowers Poem by Gerald Opio

Flowers

Away before me to sweet beds of flowers:
Love-thoughts lie rich when canopied with bowers.
The vicinity of them,
saturates my fleeting desire.

Love so peculiar,
when desire rises so high,
during inception - then as time goes by, it recedes drastically.
Due to significant turn offs,
That are so perceptible.

Whenceforth, beauty of troth
lies in flowers, flawlessly crafted - with bright glamorous petals.
That evoke ardent feelings of love, stimulating passion Unfathomable.
Comprised of a splendid facade with a fragrance exuded, an aroma that soothes the heart.

Flowers are lovely,
something you can hold,
possess with no rue,
because it will always be in your arms, or even by your side.
And all you have to do is to water it, so that it doesn't parch.
