Flowers From A Man That I Cannot Rememberhis Name Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Flowers From A Man That I Cannot Rememberhis Name

Rating: 5.0

Yes, the flowers were buried in the green bin
And the card was put in the box
Where I put sentimental things
Like an old dog license that was
The first when I brought the dog home
Or a broken tooth from my best friend after I pulled it
Out of their mouth
But these were from my first date
His name I can't remember
Or tried to forget because I had a lousy time
As he turned out to be a creep
It wasn't that long ago
I wish I knew his name

Those conflicted emotions! Years ago, I found the memories of those bad dates stood as much as the memories of the great ones. That 'great in-between, ' that has evaporated. A great verse LeeAnn.

Dating is a tricky business, it can be horrifying and comedic at the same time, this work sums up those two feelings succinctly. It reminds me of the stuff my friend goes through, its funny though that even though its a bad experience, you can remember the persons name. Out of curiosity, I hope you didn't break his tooth! splendid work LeeAnn!
