For Little More Than A Day (English Sonnet) Poem by Gert Strydom

For Little More Than A Day (English Sonnet)

(for Annelize)

At least for little more than another day
I did speak and listen and write to you,
and how destiny and circumstances may
to the things and days in my life now do,

at heart I know that you are really true,
that our love is meant forever to stay
and I do not have knowledge or a clue
how this situation in life to waylay:

where again the electric power is gone
but I do miss you much more than before,
while other people switch my life off and on,
as a special women I do you adore,

where you are charming in every way
and forever I will love you if I may.
