For me I desire (নিজের জন্যে চাই) Poem by Rabindra Gope

For me I desire some stealthy freedom
I want for me one secret box
Where my own sorrows can be stores
Piled up, can be stored in the memory bank.

For me in my eyes, inside my sights
In the darkness of the night, in my own moonlight
I desire liquid happiness
For me I need rippling river shaded with drenched clouds
In the lonely nights I want to swim in the high tides of that river

What else do I want for me
I want to undress the nature
And I want to look into her intently
What else do I need?
Well droplets of dream. Well that everybody wants.

I want for me games of sound and colour
Its trifling, if I don’t have moonlight
But I need the gloom of its stains, without which my desire is partial
Its the moon, that manages the life and death, to it I am captivated.

I want expectation of other person for me
There should be essence of love into this expectation

I need warmth of waterfalls in the rippling waves in the body
I want for me a clandestine cage to captive her into it.



নিজের জন্যে কিছু গোলাপ স্বাধীনতা চাই
নিজের জন্যে চাই একট গোপন বাক্স
যেখানে আপন দুঃখগুলো থরে থরে
সাজানো যায়, জমানো যায় স্মৃতির ব্যাংকে।

নিজের জন্যে চোখের ভিতরে চোখ, দৃষ্টির ভিতরে দৃশ্য
রাতের গাঢ় অন্ধকারে ব্যক্তিগত জোছনায়
তরল সুখ থাকা চাই,
নিজের জন্যে সজল মেঘের ছায়া ঘেরা কল্লোলিনী নদী চাই
নির্জন রাতে জোয়ার লাগা সে নদীর বুকে সাঁতার কাটা চাই।

নিজের জন্যে কী এমন চাওয়ার আছে
নিসর্গের বুকের আবরণ খুলে
ওকে একটু ভালো করে দেখে নেয়া
ওসব ছাড়া আর কী আছে
একটু স্বপ্ন, তা’ তো সবারই থাকে।

নিজের জন্যে শব্দ আর রঙের খেলা চাই
চাঁদের জোছনা না হলেও ক্ষতি নেই
কলঙ্কের কালিমাটুকু চাই, তা’ না হলেই নয়
চাঁদের কাছেই বাঁচা মরা, চাঁদের কাছেই বন্দী সময় যায়।

নিজের জন্যে অন্যের অপেক্ষা চাই
অপেক্ষার মাঝে প্রেমের সৌরভ চাই
তরঙ্গায়িত শরীরের ভাঁজে ভাঁজে জলপ্রপাতের উষ্ণতা চাই
আর নিজের জন্যে চাই, ওকে বন্দী করার গোপন খাঁচা।
