For The Grace Of God Go I Poem by Paula Glynn

For The Grace Of God Go I

For the grace of God go I,
My heart shining,
Like diamonds in the sky,
God watching over me,
Both night and day,
My heart open to love,
For the grace of god go I.

I often pray to God:
God merciful on me,
For he knows my errors,
My fortunes and my mistakes;
No matter how major a mistake,
He always forgives me,
As I pray for redemption,
For the grace of god go I.

I stand on the stage,
Talking to the people,
Telling them my story,
And being honest,
About where I've been,
For I may be a success,
But I am not perfect,
But for the grace of god go I.

I have walked the earth,
Wandered the fields and woods,
I have flown the skies,
I have wide open eyes,
Nature with all her beauty,
Protecting me from harm,
For nature is god's canvas,
My art lasting forever,
For the grace of god go I.

God watches over me with love,
He is always there,
And his love I always share,
For others have fallen down,
But they will learn to stand,
And become what they want,
For everyone has their destiny:
Even if they fail at first,
But I never gave up,
Having fallen down myself,
Because for the grace of god go I.

Living in god's palace,
Love having given me wealth,
But materials irrelevant,
For I am an angel,
My heart beating for the world,
Because for the grace of god go I.
