For What Purpose And Reason Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

For What Purpose And Reason

What purpose and reason,
Is being served remaining conscious.
Observant and aware.
Of that which begins,
With an intention meant.
Negative without defense against,
The implementation of it to prevent.

What purpose, reason and use is truth.
Pursued when truth is subjected to abuse.
And resentment that offends,
The many who seem to prefer...
Lives to live,
In denial with a wish for them truth ends.

And...
What then will begin.
For those who have won,
This battle to win.

A defeating of humanity?
That leaves a diseasing of all mentalities?
Hmmm...
The possibilities are endless!

Who then would rule?
Hmmm...
For what purpose and reason?

To better make and replace,
That which had been taken for granted to ruin?
In the service of who to worship?
Hmmm...
For what purpose and reason to discover?
Seven days is not enough time,
To give...
The possibility of surviving through,
Another civilization proud to have destroyed?
Oh...
What a task.
But there are those who believe,
They have been chosen to devastate...
God's creations!
Including themselves.
