For You - Poem by Orlando Belo

I would battle the wind and rain,
and suffer torment, and pain,
just to hold you once again in my arms.

I would trip, stumble, and fall
down mountain, or waterfall,
just to hold you once again in my arms.

I would beg, steal, or borrow,
fight adversity, and sorrow,
just to hold you once again in my arms.

So if I sometimes seem sad and down,
and I'm wearing a tired frown,
just hold me once again in your arms.
