Force Of Nature



in silence of darkness
came rain pouring hard
all ears deaf to extreme
tired bodies went to sleep
as river grew restless
lucky few did noticed

sudden roar with anger
rolling down stream
wiping out all houses
with residents in tow
filled with scream heard
muted by swirling earth

flash flood devastated
a whole village in philippines
