Is it one and the same?
Can you forgive and then forget
Will the heart allow such a thing?

You ask for forgiveness
I grant it with my heart, seven times seventy
But my mind still tries to forget

I gave until my cup became empty
Your cup just kept refilling till there was none left in my pitcher
One more chance is what you plea

Taken for granted you shall never be
But broken words of promise still linger from the last time
When you ask for another chance

I need not another child to nurture
A babe to feed and dress
Yes, God made me a mother but not unto you

Love will always linger
Forgiveness will be near
But to void the mind and forget … I can not do

Once bitten, twice shy
Fooled me once shame on you
Fooled me twice shame on me

No rounds of three will there be
For lessons are hard to learn
And this one had a very hard grade to come by
