Forty Quatrains On Rainy Season [17 - 20] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Rainy Season [17 - 20]

Rating: 5.0

17.O, my ignorant friend! Like the clouds guzzling sea-waters rise above
making thunder-claps like beating of drums and scare the snakes,
there is a downpour on the rocky hills beside in dark. To clear out
the paleness in your crescent forehead, the hero will be here soon.

18.The time to come for your lover, who passed through the rocky jungle
has come. The thundering clouds have poured down the rains. The forests
which lost their beauty like the pale body of the poor get turned into
the mind of the rich. The rainy season lends beauty to the forest.

19.The flowers of the white Kadampa Oak which resembles the colour
of the weapon of plough bearing god, Valavan, bloomed in the rains.
She wears green bangles which liken my mind in her forehands. The hero
urged the charioteer to rush to see his stout shouldered heroine.

20.The orders of the brave king are carried out. The ongoing paths
are laid down well. The clouds which alarmed the pearls-bearing snakes
poured down rains, rumbling like the warring army of the king.
So the hero will come soon.

The orders of the brave king are carried out. The bravest king is our God. We offer flowers to him by his grace. This series of poems is interesting and wisely penned.10
