Forty Quatrains On Rainy Season [21 - 24] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Forty Quatrains On Rainy Season [21 - 24]

21.Sharp, soft, small buds of Jasmine are grown all along the path
of lovely machine made chariot driven. The hero said to the charioteer
that they would go through the vast forests to see the heroine
with charming forehead, cool, merciful eyes and teeth like jasmine buds.

22.With the sweaters worn workers, head band tied haughty horse feeding
the grass being ready to be clasped to the chariot, the forests shine
with the youthful grace of women like the wealth of the wealthy.
So said the hero to the charioteer and asked him to speed up.

23.O, you wearing glittering bangles! The clouds burst covering
the whole sky and the pearl-like rain drops and hail-stones were lying
on the forests."Why are these things for? "the heroine's friend said.
These things make a feel of the rainy season and so the hero will come

24.The musth of the elephants smell in the highlands. It drizzles
from the dark sky. My love with black tresses would have felt sorry,
for keeping patience. She couldn't bear my words said before I left.
O, my heart! Leave aside the work. Wake and rush towards my heroine.
