Frivolous Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Frivolous

If you had not been prioritized.
By God.
To be selected with life to experience it.
And expected with this gift.
To do more than sit and complain.
Not only you may question your existence.
You can bet God wonders too.
If His decision to bestow you with life.
Had been a futile mistake.
Especially,
After listening to prayers made.
Nonstop and on a daily basis.
Received from those having the audacity.
Not to ask from God,
To remove obstacles they face.
But continue they do,
Expecting God to approve of their nonsense.
With accusations and excuses made,
That others have it easier than they.
And this they say can be proven.
Because they have spent their time,
Assisting God doing God's work.
With it done to ensure themselves,
Remaining petty and as nosey as possible.
Is what any true disciple of God would do.
To prove both loyalty and devotion.
