From Dawn To Dusk Poem by Hopeless Heart

From Dawn To Dusk

Rating: 4.5

As the sky darkens I think of you
And all the things you said you would do
You said you would always be there
You said you would always care

As the moon takes its place in the sky
I sit upon this hill and cry
You were always there to wipe away my tears
And you would always scare away my fears

As the stars light up the night
I wish I could go back and make it right
But now you have gone away
Never to grace my eyes another day

One by one the stars fade away
And I remember the words you use to say
“Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow”

As the moon falls from its peak
I realise that I am not that weak
I realise I can stand on my own
I realise I’m not afraid to be alone

Beautiful colours sweep across the sky
And the tears I was crying are now dry
A smile stretches across my face
For I am happy I am here, in this place
