Low and high
He follows her
One stare he despairs
To catch her
Bashful she is
She hides and flies
And he is afire with desire
Above shining is the bright sun
And she is readying
Her wings to take a leap unto the sun
Nor is she in a hurry
Nor does she wish peace to bury
A soft breeze rustles the tree
Now wide spread her wings
Before him like a dream she flies
Soaring high and high
Beaming with confidence
Beaming with defiance
She calls him nigh
He chases her
Soaring high
Blocking out the sun
She stops to face the predator
Mind over matter
The sin vanquished over
Once again a beautiful flow of words from your pen. A weaker bird can be a prey to stronger ones. But when no way is left, surely the small bird will stand, for how long it can keep on flying, so a time will come when it will stand in front either to die or to live peacefully if life is saved.
Though she may be weaker but did not surrender to the mighty but applied her brain for rescue. It's a nice inspiring poem in deed.
At the surface level, this is the story of small bird chased by a bigger bird.... a predator! But at a deeper level, it can be the story of any of the weak, running away for life when chased by a stronger one to be subdued and preyed upon! A great write Deepak! A 10
