Game Over Poem by Jazlle D. H. **contentment is the key to happiness

Game Over

Rating: 4.4

One bright summer day,
the children were happily playing.
Hide and seek in every corner
they’re screaming and singing
of the joy the game brings.

A sudden darkness
Covered the atmosphere
the hungry fiend waited
for an innocent child
to pass by and be his prey.

The horrible ogre disguised
and approached the little girl
persuaded to help her
to mislead her playmates
who are searching her.

The naïve girl was trapped
A filthy smile seen on his face
She was shocked and dread
The ferocious beast began to strip
In a snap the monster broke her shield.

One gloomy summer day
the children were fearfully playing
when they’ve found her in a corner
she’s trembling and wailing
of the pain the game brings.

reading, the last line really pains the reader's mind...the material there is shocking to mind though, the style of narration is good and vivid...a ten for your poem, Joan
