Genghis Khan Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Genghis Khan

Rating: 5.0

Son of tribal chief
Fled with mother as a child
When father killed by rival tribe.
Suffered greatly growing to manhood
Became chief of tribe
Uniting Mongol tribes
Becoming chief of chiefs.

Built empire with his armies
Mongol warriors
Shooting arrows from galloping horses
Taking lands far to east and the west.
Genghis Khan forever revered
Written bold in pages of world history
Creator of empire unequalled.

Genghis Khan, conquer, war tactician
Pride of Mongolian people
Fulfilled his dream
Armies victorious in battle
Riding horseback, unequalled in war
Genghis Khan, conquer, leader unrivalled
Greatest Mongol of them all.
