Glass Telephone - Poem by Ivana Amy Gomez

The sound of static and muffled voices
It's making me nauseated
This happens after about six minutes of it
Six minutes and twenty-eight seconds
Big, warm, black fluffy earmuffs
sewed onto the cartilage of my ears
The static continues
The conversation procedes
I can't make out these words
I can only hear my own
Too bad I don't want to
