Going Towards North Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Going Towards North

Rating: 4.5

Nothing is visible from here
The mighty Himalayas
Or the source of Ganga
We are sitting like monkeys
Looking for pea- nuts to quell
Our hunger
Nothing is visible from here

Light comes from North
Humming streams flow there
Dancing across undulating land
The landscape is marvelous

We are just like trees
Standing as ghosts in the same place
Watching the lightning and thunder
Getting flooded with rain

We sleep hugging the night wind
It gives us a feeling
We are born watching the North Star

Light comes from North. Nothing is visible right now. But Himalaya is very beautiful. We stay from far so we cannot see beauty! But visiting North we can see and feel Himalaya. This poem is excellently penned.
