Gone Is Trust To Distrust Trusting Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Gone Is Trust To Distrust Trusting

You can lie but from me,
You'll never get my trust back.
Once you do me wrong,
My trust is gone.
And...
You'll never get that trust back.

Stranger.
You have become to me.
To come and go to do an act.
Stranger.
You have become to be.
Getting what you want.
To please a need.
Then up and leave.
Stranger...
You can lie to me,
But no more will you get...
My trust.
Stranger...
No more of my trust,
Will you take to mess up.
Stranger...
No more of my stuff,
Will you heat it up to distrust!
Stranger...
Gone is my trust.
As a must to distrust trusting!
