Good Earth Reaveals Poem by Pranab K Chakraborty

Good Earth Reaveals

Long ago Pearl Buck wrote Good Earth
Time replicates the reality with crative imagination
Sri Lanka, the burning sample
Shows us the same strength of people as it illustrated
In literature long time ago

Emphasing the word 'long time' you see
Just to depict not the technological advancement
But the hunger the key word always dominate
Time and journey of the civilization

If you forget this simple truth the very powerful ruler
Sorry to say you satisfying your personal greed
No love for those people you represent
Who depend on your wise supremacy

Palaces now smelling the sweat come out of anger
Palaces now being brushed up with foot dust
Of those commoners for whom you took oath to serve them
Time the witness never forgive the betrayers
