One day when a child
tried to show me rain
falling from the sky
became confused
no cloud I saw there
no drizzling
no drop of falling
where then he found
such falling
where
asked myself many times before sleep
made query within with regular term
one day felt the charm of raining
my soul thundering furious to crack
clouds everywhere
rain began slowly to get me wet
a sense of expansion
a broader feelings of friendship
with nature
began to fall
overwhelmed my conscious
I got wet
rain
rain
rain everywhere
believe I learned from the child...

believe I learned from the child... nice finishing.
often children have the most intuitive raw and bright force of intelligence
A poem of believing in child like innocence which is all to soon forgotten when we get older but not wiser? .........well written Pranab
Yes, Pranab, we can learn many things from the children. So often, they are perceptive in ways that we are not. Oh the faith of a child. PS: In reference to my poem ‘A Sad Comedian, ’ thanks for your kind comments. I’ve just learned that it was recently featured as Poem of the Day.

A nice poem with layers of feeling, and its circling return to the beginning of childhood.
