Brandy Elger

Goodbye - Poem by Brandy Elger

As I walk in the door
My parents’ voices surrounded me
They say I am better than this
They keep on and insist
I clench to my bruised fingers
The pain in me still lingers
My grades have begun to drop
The cuts on my wrist won’t stop
They couldn’t see the signs
I’ve allowed my sanity to fall behind
I’ve strained myself to keep moving on
Yet my pain is slowly growing
Suffering form all these lies
So many I wish to die
Somehow I still remain unseen
All hope has already left me
To all of you I say goodbye
Tis’ time to leave my hateful live
