Grandpa Lanie Poem by Walterrean Salley

Grandpa Lanie

Rating: 5.0

Grandpa Lanie was really cool;
He didn't say much at all,
And always sported a cabbie cap,
But didn't drive a tall.

He walked everywhere he went,
Or would catch the bus.
He embraced the simple things,
And never made a fuss.

He was one who loved the rod—
Fishing was his heart.
He wore suspenders every day,
And pushed his homemade cart.
