Gross Neglect Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Gross Neglect

Most are knowing they have suffered,
Gross neglect.
And from politicians picked,
Now they regret.
Leaving many shown to them,
No respect.
Or expect to get,
Anytime soon.

Most are feeling hopelessness,
And gross neglect.
Coming from the very ones,
Who put them to the test.
With empty promises.
And image to address.
Effective to accept.
Although hollow at best.

Most today now notice,
Who among them have deceived.
With lies to tell to have them sold,
While feeding their own greed.
Using bigotry and race,
Done successfully!

Tricked, deluded to be duped,
The people too late see.
They have been the victims,
Of their own hypocrisies.
Left behind as fools to use,
By thieves of evil deeds.

Most are knowing shown to them,
Gross neglect.
And from politicians picked,
Now they regret.
Or should expect,
Respect to come soon!
