Grow From Concrete Poem by Paula Glynn

Grow From Concrete

A beautiful black rose,
Grows from concrete,
Her heart bigger than a diamond,
For she is the coolest,
Her skin the colour of the darkest night,
Her time about living her life,
Being the toughest,
And just having the best time,
Because she has so much love,
For all the people of the world,
And she is a treasured girl,
For she lights up the sky,
Like a flame,
People praising her and her music,
Calling her name,
For she is on top of the game,
Her heart bigger than the rest,
For she is simply the best,
The star of the show,
Where her talent flows,
As she dances and sings on stage,
For she will never age,
She will always be in people's hearts,
She will always be a work of art,
For she is as precious as a jewel,
And her life flies by rapidly,
As she keeps busy,
Entertaining the people of the world,
As she wears with pride,
Diamonds and pearls,
For she is as rich in mind and body,
As she is in money,
For she possesses a black beauty,
Herself so graceful and elegant,
For she is a true star:
An angel sent from above,
To watch over the people with love.
