Gypsy Acid Queen (Fr. Tina Turner 1939-2023) Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Gypsy Acid Queen (Fr. Tina Turner 1939-2023)

Rating: 5.0

As he tore yr heart
You sang to receive it
He thought since he named you; he owned you
But you beg to differ
With a credit card and thirty-six cents
You crawled towards new heights of fame
Dancing and singing, you were the best
Now, rest my fair queen
Enjoy yr time in heaven

Not only is this poem a magnificent tribute to Tina Turner...it is a poem that speaks volumes about spousal abuse. And you did all that in just 4 succinct opening lines. LeeAnn, this is truly an outstanding piece of writing! ! !

Who doesn't love T.T. And I had forgotten she was the acid queen in Tommy. Nice tribute
