Hairline Fracture Poem by Jeremy Horsford

Hairline Fracture

My dreams...
I've waited...for my dreams...to...come true
Will those...fleeting thoughts...make...me blue
Is my subconscious...planning...a coup

That long walk...
That long walk...not hoping...things would change
Hoping my...transient...sense of belief...doesn't make us...estranged
Maybe...we'll...come together...at an interchange

My heart...
My heart...is in my mouth
Thinking...wondering...what I'm crying about
Will it stop...or do I have to...bleed...it out

My feelings...
Why are my feelings...betraying...me
My love is continuous...endless...despite our geography
I hope my love is heard...the world...hears my plea
Or will...it end...as my love...lost at sea

I wonder...
I wonder...whether...I'll see...you again
I wonder...whether...haunting...my dreams...is your domain
I wonder...whether...my hopes of you...will remain
I wonder...whether...my world...with you...will fracture...or change

Please get back to me

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Uncertainty abounds, yet heaven surronds when uplifting moments of thoughtful renown as this poem astounds! I found this poem very personal and difficult to comment so i delved into a harmless rhyme. Well written, well penned

Hey Bud, it definitely seems personal, however I'm in a happy loving relationship. Maybe there is apart of me which is forever sad (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) . And that's probably where all of my sad poetry is borne.
