**HALLUCINATION!

An article in a magazine read, -
That the truly affluent, the rich and famous,
as on date,
Are not satisfied by champagne and caviar
any more,
Preferring sophisticated drugs instead! !
This made me think, that the greatest of our
Epicurean pleasures, -
Is brought on by an inebriated or hallucinating
state, -
To make us forget our suffering and pain!
To remain in a dream-like state of suspended
animation,
In our endeavor to create a world of heavenly
bliss,
Where reality perhaps ceases exists!
Becomes the goal of those earthlings!
While for some Philosophers, this world
itself,
Appears to be a hallucination or a ‘maya’,
A mere figment of God’s imagination,
Existing as an ‘idea in God’s mind’;
While we try to free ourselves from the
strangle-hold of time!
As an escapists, we try to cheat pain and death,
With opium, and choicest of drugs;
Was this our ultimate fate? !
With drugs we try to hypnotise our mind,
Deluding our God-given consciousness, -
With which we can sense, feel and get
closer to Him, -
And realise Him the best!
