Happily Ever After Poem by Dorsey Baker

Happily Ever After

Rating: 3.0

You really miss them
Your family
Your friends
Dead and gone
So many faces
So many voices
From the past
Your eyes they
Sometimes shed salty tears
Something in a moment
Triggers the pain
That stabs your heart again
And it goes so deep

No longer
You can kiss them
No longer
You can hug them
Protect them from
All things but the
Demon of death

Wishful thinking
Every once in a while
You think that
They might come back alive
To live happily ever after
With you once again!
