He Carried You Poem by David Harris

In times of troubles, whom can I turn to?
We can turn to our Lord,
but with so many asking him,
will he answer all our prayers?
Eventually he will.
I have often heard people say
he will send an earth angel to help you on your way.
Therefore, when you need someone desperately to talk to,
remember our heavenly father
will always listen to you.
When you are about to stumble and fall
he will lift you into his arms and carry you through.
If you look behind you in the sand
there will only be one set of footprints there
because it was then he carried you.
Therefore, when your world is in despair
pray for some guidance
and you will soon find the Lord will carry you through.
