A male imposed mark of good grooming,
Confidence, a source of power looming,
Patriarchy as feels
On fair sex on high heels,
But women seem no more listening.
And whoso with them deals,
Find them like onion peels,
Flesh or feet, they wear what comfy feels,
And in freedom to swing, fall or spring!

A labour minister (male)in Japan felt it ‘necessary and appropriate'. But women are running a popular campaign called # Kutoo against the workplace code insisting on them wearing high heels. The new hash tag is derived from the words kutsu (shoe)and kutsuu (pain) . It is perhaps time women begin to walk all over other people's notions of appropriate attire.

A magnificently made poem, sir Aniruddha.....10++++++++++

Thank you Dr Swain, this (started in Japan) is currently hot world over.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
It is not proper on the part of men to insist that women should wear high heels! If it gives them annoyance or pain, let them wear something that leaves them comfortable! Interesting write! Beautiful rhyming!
I agree with you. It is rather comforting to know that even in countries like Japan ministers blurt out statements they should think twice. It is good women are increasing aware and vociferous about their personal freedom. Thanks you dear poet.
