Historically Not Accepted Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Historically Not Accepted

When people begin,
Taking the initiative to understand...
Only they can be the first,
More involved in their own lives.
With a living to correct at their best,
Their own problems and issues.
Shown with more concern.
Without others involved to expect them,
Done to express more respect,
Than displayed on a daily basis...
Not there to address themselves.
Less it will be misunderstood,
Where that line to cross begins and ends.
To have made that clear,
From the very beginning.

However...
If that line to cross,
Begins to allow...
A lack of discipline, dignity or identity,
Kept to prove a doing done to do...
Within the boundaries of it.
Shown to have no concern at all,
Who it is that crosses to do as they please...
Historically said not accepted,
Yet misdeeds allowed expected...
On both sides of it.
Then conflict, confusion and chaos,
Becomes difficult to accuse...
Who it is responsible to have initiated,
The conflict, confusion and chaos...
That validates a blame to claim,
An accountability to be held responsible!
