Hitler Charlie Brown Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Hitler Charlie Brown

Hitler Charlie Brown made a friend of stifled ambition and unrealized goals
Hitler Charlie Brown ate more than his fair share of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
Hitler Charlie Brown got too full of himself

Hitler Charlie Brown kicked his dog, his stupid dog
Hitler Charlie Brown took seriously his failures at baseball and football
Hitler Charlie Brown saw these sports as analogies for forcible land acquisition by nations

Hitler Charlie Brown liked a girl from afar
Hitler Charlie Brown sent this girl threatening notes
Hitler Charlie Brown made his presence felt like an involuntary shudder on an otherwise warm day

Hitler Charlie Brown surrounded himself with damaged mother's boys
Heroes in their questionable judgment
And together they committed petty crimes and looked towards bigger illegality

There was a beer hall putsch
But it didn't cause a murmur
Someone moved the football
Who is the round headed kid and why is he carrying on so?

He'll stick to poisoning bird feeders
Watching small creatures die
The barber's son, the universal loser
He'll keep dreaming of the world in flames
