How Can I Fool You? Poem by Sandra Feldman

How Can I Fool You?

Rating: 5.0

How can I fool you?
Let me count the ways,
There are so many,
I can't even say,
So fool me and swirl me,
Then bog me down,
'Friendship's' always on shaky ground,
' I am your friend, till I decide,
To kick you good, right in the hide,
I have no conscience, I have no pride'
So goes Society's dirty tide.

People in general, you cannot trust,
Most aren't truthful, sincere or just.

Even in the sixth cent. b.d. when first was written down the lyric poesy[ after the first formation of the cities of market [state-cities], the poets started complaining about the same thing. In a poem of Alcaeos find we the theme devolopped for first time in literature's history.
