However High The Friendship Bar Poem by gershon hepner

However High The Friendship Bar

Rating: 5.0

Some have no enemies but are
intensely hated by their friends;
however high the friendship bar,
it rarely pays us dividends.

Some have a lot of lovers, yet
are lonely when they go to bed,
at least they say this to forget
the fun they had before they wed.

Inspired by a saying of Oscar Wilde: 'He has no enemies, but is intensely disliked by his friends.'
