Hypothesis

Very few poems are happy,
That's the nature of the beast,
Very few poets are happy,
That's why on poems they feast.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Eugene Levich 27 January 2017

I just finished reading Freud's Civilization and its Discontents. The aim of life (he writes) is happiness- but it is impossible to find except momentarily due to the realities of nature and society. People thus seek solace in irrational religions to find pie in the sky after they die. Other people find solace in poetry- these people include, Sandracita, you and I.
